About Phoebe Robinson, Ali Kolbert, & Aparna Nancherla, with host Dave Hill and music from the Reformed Whores
PHOEBE ROBINSON is a stand-up comedian, New York Times best-selling writer, and actress whom Bust, Time Out NY, Vulture.com, Brooklyn Magazine, Essence, San Fransisco Sketchfest, O Magazine, and Buzzfeed.com have all praised and named one of the top comedians to watch. She has appeared on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and TODAY; TBS's Conan and Search Party, Comedy Central’s Broad City; as well having a recurring role on the Amazon show I Love Dickand creating and starring in Refinery29’s web series Woke Bae . She also co-hosts the hugely popular podcast, 2 Dope Queens, and has a special on HBO coming out this year.
ALI KOLBERT was as an NBC Page at 30 Rock--where she worked on shows such as Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, and Late Night with Seth Meyers. Recently, Ali made her television debut in that very building, on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. She has worked as a contributing writer at The Onion and her clever and provocative stand-up won her the title of Stage 72's "Greatest New Comedian." She has performed at The Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta, as well as The Big Sky Comedy Festival in Montana.
APARNA NANCHERLA is a comedian and general silly billy. Her sense of humor is dry, existential, and absurd, with notes of uncalled-for whimsy. Think a wine you didn’t order.
She was the voice of Hollyhock on the most recent season of Bojack Horseman. Other acting credits include Crashing, Master of None, Love, and Inside Amy Schumer. Aparna was also named one of “The 50 Funniest People Right Now” by Rolling Stone.
DAVE HILL l is a comedian, writer, musician, actor, radio host, and man-about-town originally from Cleveland, Ohio but now living in New York City in a totally sweet apartment with a party deck and everything. Hot chicks come over to hang out and eat cheese plates and stuff with him all the time and it’s awesome.
“In this politically charged and divided climate, Reformed Whores strive to put on a fun show that brings people, no matter what gender, race or political leaning, together with dick jokes!"
Described as “Southern-Fried feminism with a side of crass and a tall glass of sass,” Katy Frame and Marie Cecile Anderson have toured the country as opening acts for "Weird Al" Yankovic and Alice Cooper, but with over a million views on YouTube and growing list of Network TV appearances, the Brooklyn based pair are set for a primetime spot on the national comedy scene.
Their sophomore record "Don't Beat Around the Bush" debuted in the top 20 iTunes comedy albums of 2016 and GRAND OLE CUNTRY, which premiered last month at the Edinburgh Fringe was hailed by the press as "A magnificently bawdy celebration of female sexuality” and "Genuinely endearing and unflinchingly upbeat."
