Phil Gibbs

New York-based musician Phil Gibbs writes refreshing and immediately contagious pop music. Phil has a unique style that has a way of insnaring audiences from the first few bars.

Taking inspiration from pop, soul and old-school R'n'B, the 24 year old singer-songwriter has been performing live since he was a young teenager. Growing up in Birmingham, UK, Phil sang and played in a series of bands, taking gigs in local bars and clubs. After years of honing his craft, Phil moved to London in summer 2012 aiming to progress his musical career.

After forming a small collective of like-minded musicians, Phil recorded the 'Diamond In The Rough' EP, which was self-released in early 2014. The 4 track EP demonstrates Phil Gibbs' distinctive voice and his inherent ear for a strong groove. Lead single 'Diamond In The Rough' has a laid back yet rhythmical quality, taking all that is good and soulful about contemporary R'n'B and stripping it right down to core instrumentation.
