Petros Sakelliou's Visual Music Circus Album Release Concert

The compositions in this album seek to combine influences from jazz, classical and world music, while simultaneously forming a new, original aural entity. Furthermore, improvisation is sought to be implemented in a composed framework, without missing out on the buoyancy of improvisation, neither from the thought-out nature of music composition.
The title "visual music circus" carries an implication on the visual aspect of multi-layered orchestration, as well as a reminiscence of the frolicking colorfulness of the circus in its multi-timbral instrumentation. Finally, a desire for music free of frameworks and limitations is fulfilled, through composing just what the creative mind is inclined to, without striving to fit its development within a preordained music style or genre.
