One of the founding members of Afro-Cuban band Yerba Buena, Pedrito Martinez has been performing as a vocalist and percussionist since the age of 11 in his native Cuba. Since making his way to New York City in 1998, Martinez has performed with numerous jazz and pop luminaries, including Wynton Marsalis, Paul Simon, Cassandra Wilson, Paquito D'Rivera and more.
