Patti Austin: Grammy-Winning R&B/Jazz Star

Patti Austin returns to New York, where she made her auspicious debut on the stage of the famed Apollo Theater at the tender age of four. Just a year later, she'd won her first recording contract with RCA Records. In the '80s, she hit the top of the charts with R&B favorites like "Baby, Come to Me" and "How Do You Keep the Music Playing" with James Ingram and "It's the Falling in Love" with Michael Jackson. Since then, she's been exploring the jazz genre with her gorgeous voice, and in 2008, after nine Grammy nominations, she took home the award for Best Jazz Vocal Album for her acclaimed release "Avant Gershwin". The charismatic cabaret entertainer appears at major jazz fests across the country and abroad, and is back at B.B. King's for a much-anticipated evening of great music.
