About PANZIE, Snake Canyon, Dead Rocking Horse, Audio Empire

At first when you see them or hear the name Panzie, you're not quite sure what to expect ... but expect the unexpected. This band's got it. They understand what it takes to put out badass rock 'n roll. The beauty is that it comes naturally to them. They were born to do this.

They are not a manufactured or an overproduced record company's spit-out. Each band member is a character in their own right and could stand alone but to bring them together in one band is why it's so good.

Front man Johnny Hawaiian is the last real American rock star and Panzie brings something back to hard rock that has been missing. Their songs are raw, energetic and aggressive, yet there's something fine and sophisticated about their delivery. They have the "it" factor. They are everything you want in a rock 'n roll band.

Panzie is the whole package. They have well-written songs that you can listen to over and over again. You just don't get tired of listening. They look good, they sound good and they deliver a live show to match. Their full-length album, entitled 'Love & Blood,' is destined to become a classic. This album rocks from beginning to end. Every track is memorable and stands on its own; it's a hard rock album that takes you on a musical journey.

'Love & Blood' is what you get when you take every great band and song you love and combine them. That is Panzie. They play music you want to hear and when you're done, you want more. Its unpretentious, meat-and-potatoes, dirty rock 'n roll. Front man Johnny Hawaiian and guitar players DC Gonzalez and Jonnie Rockit started the band in 2009 in NYC. All veterans of the NY rock scene, they were anxious to start a new band. After a few rehearsals at DC's place, they realized that there was an undeniable chemistry between them and were pleased with the sound that was forming.

Before they had a full set, they were booking shows. Panzie enjoys playing live and that was evident right from the start. As soon as they had enough tunes, they were anxious to let people hear what they were brewing. In 2009, the NYC music scene was starting to come alive again and there were bands and venues popping up all over the place. Hawaiian, DC and Rockit could not be happier -- this was where they grew up and the playground they needed to showcase themselves.

They later joined forces with drummer John "Servo" DeSalvo and bass player Dave Sussman. Servo and Dave were longtime friends who had played in other bands together and instantly all of their personalities and attitudes meshed and a new and better Panzie emerged. Panzie quickly became a vital part of the NYC music scene.

And that's the thing with these guys; they are the real deal, they support their scene and love what they do. There is no way that this band will not rise to the top. 'Love & Blood' is worthy of sitting in your record collection next to your other favorites. If you have not seen them live, give yourself a treat and check them out. You will not be disappointed. Strap in and enjoy the ride!

SNAKE CANYON is a hard-rock band hailing from NYC's East Village who play intense, hook-laden and memorable tunes for a growing crowd of devotees.

The group was founded by Morgan Liebman, Joe Hogan, Vance Garcia, Jeremy Sosville and Ilya Hamovich. The basic concept behind the band was to incorporate proven and recognizable talent from the LES rock scene in a new band with an eye towards creating a buzz straight out of the box. Over the next year songs like "Coming After You", "Spineless" and "No Apologies" were written and honed to perfection. Some lineup changes ensued due to personal commitments and musical differences, after extensive auditions Texas Clamp was added on drums, quickly followed by AJ on guitar. The new lineup continued to write material such as "Devil", "Blackout 77" and "Killing Rock" and went on to record a demo over the winter of 2012-13. SNAKE CANYON has been playing select gigs around the NYC area with some of the best bands in the surging NY rock scene and are continuing to hone their sound and live performances.

A little about the band members:

Morgan "SuperMorgan" Liebman is a party promoter and vocalist who has been involved in the East Village rock scene for many years, he stages the popular FBomb party at the Delancey every month, deejays Metal, Punk and Classic Rock at many venues around the city and has sang for NYC cult bands First Order, Steel Fucking Morticians and Supervillain. He now writes the lyrics and vocal melodies for SNAKE CANYON, shaping their vibe on the mic.

Joe Hogan is a well-respected audio engineer and guitar god on the downtown scene. Joe has appeared in such memorable bands as Roarfiend, Gorgon, Stark, The Slags, Gravity, Dead Family and Action Daddy and is now currently co-writing tunes and tearing it up on guitar for SNAKE CANYON.

Vance Garcia, the band's bassist, holds down the rhythm with chops garnered over years of gigging out with such bands as Ratchethead, Untouchables and Gyna Gyna before joining forces with SNAKE CANYON. Known as the "X-Factor" Vance bring a sense of maturity and funk to the band's powerful onslaught.

Texas Clamp is a whirlwind on the drums who is primarily known for his time in Banana Fish Zero, The Situationist International (TSI) as well as The Slags with Joe Hogan. Texas has been fired from some of NYC's best underground bands. Wild, loud and unpredictable describes his demeanor on and off of the stage. Texas has somehow found his way into the lineup of SNAKE CANYON which he now calls home.

AJ hails from the South Bronx, his sound reflects his gritty, hardcore upbringing. His style encompasses the powerful attack of Tony Iommi mixed in with the chaos and improvisational freedom of Jimi Hendrix. His stage presence and performance are at once energetic, immediate and forceful. AJ is the newest addition to SNAKE CANYON's lineup, and he completes the aural concept of the band. Known for playing guitar in Jesus Knevil for many years, we welcome him into the fold as we look to the future.

SNAKE CANYON's mission is simple, to rock the hell out of everyone they come into contact with, combining their years of experience, love of heavy music and blistering live performances.

We invite you to descend into SNAKE CANYON and get bitten by our venomous brand of rock!!!!

Dead Rocking Horse is a relatively new member of the New York City hard rock community.

Songwriting/rocking-the-F-out team Marron Chaplin and David Alva met in January 2011 at a mutual friend's concert. During the weeks prior to their meeting, they had each suffered both a personal heartbreak and the death of an immediate family member, hence they were down on life and drinking a LOT. The night
they met, David made a rude comment to Marron, she slapped him, and the world's greatest friendship was born!
The pair's musical relationship evolved gradually. Although both involved in other projects (David in notable NYC band Stoned Fire, and Marron as a solo singer-songwriter on the Lower East Side circuit), they decided to drag each other out of their depressive funk, have some fun and vent some energy by forming Violent Age, a tribute to the Misfits. It was totally frigging rad, and yes, you are sorry you missed it.
While successfully gigging all over New York as a punk quartet, David intuited that Marron was not finding musical fulfillment performing her solo acoustic material. He began helping her take her original songs to the next level by lending his formidable bass skills and precise technical ear. For months, the pair retired to Marron's couch in New Jersey almost every night, working tirelessly to transform a bare-bones handful of acoustic songs into something much bigger. Playing music together helped them begin to heal from their individual devastating losses, resulting in a partnership that has yielded a collection of truly human music.
But being absolute rock'n'roll fans til death, they had zero intention of playing as a sensitive acoustic duo. Screw that. David found talented young drummer Steve Baycura, and the trio clicked immediately. They rehearsed relentlessly, and in December of 2011, Dead Rocking Horse played their first official gig in New York City to a welcoming audience of friends, fellow musicians, and Marron's mom.
Since their debut, the band has worked without ceasing and has just finished independently recording their first EP with producer/engineer George Pesios. The DRH EP will be released at the end of November, when Dead Rocking Horse returns from a season's performance hiatus to play their biggest show yet at Mercury Lounge. You should be there.

"Don't tell me that you grew up and now you're a serial killer because when you were a little kid, you had a rocking horse and it died."
-Rev. Charles Paul Shustrick (Marron's dad), 1946-2010
