About Pandafan


Inspired by the haunting harmonies of bands like Fleet Foxes and First Aid Kit, and finding kindred spirit the complex and detailed production of bands like The Decemberists and Lord Huron, Pandafan takes influences ranging from the Carter Family to Radiohead, and the result is a unique blend of vocal harmonies and energetic melodies.

Pandafan is three young women, all students at SUNY Purchase. Grace DeNatale is a classically trained violinist with an innate ability to sing and write complex lyrics. Delaney Hafener is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter. She began writing and recording at age 13. Stella Emmett is a world-traveled soulful songwriter with a smooth voice.

Pandafan is a very versatile band; as comfortable in an intimate setting with just voices and instruments as they are in a festival or theater setting, with full electric and full band.

Pandafan has played the Homegrown Music Caf?? (opening for Tall Tall Trees) and the Great South Bay Music Festival. Notable shows include 89 North (opening for Unlikely Candidates), Nettie???s Market (opening for Swear and Shake), the famous Caffe Lena in Saratoga Spring, twice at the historic Suffolk Theater (opening for Caroline Doctorow and Pete Kennedy as well as at the 2015 Winterfest kickoff event) and at the stunning Guild Hall in East Hampton.
