Folktress Dani Mari has combined forces with the experimental sounds of Will Hanza. Their union infuses influences from americana, blues and folk music. The mixture of acoustic instruments with sultry melodies and harmonies create a sound that can be described as Dark Folk. The duo is set to release more music in the upcoming year.


From a small California town, where the scenery featured tumbleweeds blowing past, Crystal Jurado dreamed of escaping. She found that escape a mere 20 miles away while teaching herself guitar between classes at college. Songwriting and performing helped her crack her shell and she hasn't stopped since. From headlining solo shows to fronting a handful of bands, Crystal has had her way with stages ranging from house parties to legendary venues, and considers every performance an honor to play. Crystal is inspired by Portishead, Anna Calvi and Jeff Buckley, among many other artists spanning all genres. This wide range of influence is evidenced in her musical style, where you will find gutsy songs musing the mysteries of life sidled up alongside dark and sinuous ballads. She has been described as “mainstream enough for a broad audience, funky enough to attract non-conformists; and enough anguish to keep anyone’s attention”. With her unending drive to try every instrument and style out there (Se7en The Musical, anyone???), Crystal is bound to infect audiences with her inventive spirit and captivating songwriting.
