About "On the Town"

"On the Town" Screening With a Mini-Concert by Broadway Performers

The "Classic NYC Movies at the Palace" series continues with the all-star musical that shows off the Big Apple at its best, "On the Town". Get carried away as Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Betty Garrett, Ann Miller and Vera-Ellen paint the town red in this 1949 classic. The Oscar-winning soundtrack kicks off with "New York, New York" and never lets up. After the screening, you'll be treated to a mini-concert performed by cast members from the current stage production of "On the Town". "New York Post" Chief Film Critic Lou Lumenick will introduce the movie with his special guest Michael Riedel, the "Post"'s theater columnist and PBS celebrity. Your special Goldstar package includes free popcorn, seating in the reserved Goldstar section -- located in the Lower Loge -- plus, a pre-screening tour of the United Palace Theatre.
