About ohnomoon, Clementine and the Galaxy, The Visions

Unintentionally or not, the name "ohnomoon" sounds otherworldly, and their music follows suit. The NYC quartet has been described as playing "distorted sleep rock" and "hooky, noisy, shoegaze pop", and drawn comparisons to the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Warpaint and The xx.

"I can explore, live in places in a song that would be hard for me to talk about, which I might not have any interest in dissecting in conversation," Kat Lee remarks on the writing process. "I always want to create a mood or head space that feels familiar and honest, so I hope whatever resounds most with the listener is intuitive, like the feeling you can get from a shared look or touch."

ohnomoon's debut EP, VVV, (released March 10, 2015) is a proper introduction to the band's subconscious sound, which Consequence of Sound says "crosses the line between dreamy shoegaze and colorful indie. As fuzzy washes of guitar swirl about, dashes of hues both bright and dark burst forth in complicated rhythms, and singer Kat Lee's airy vocals never let your head hang low for too long."

Clementine & The Galaxy's whirling blend of soaring vocals and synth-driven art-pop has earned them a reputation as one of indie music's fastest rising acts. The NYC-based duo of vocalist Julie Hardy and guitarist/producer Mike MacAllister has already captured the attention of critics such as Time Out New York, MTV Iggy, The Huffington Post, AOL Spinner, Brightest Young Things and The Deli Magazine (which ranked the band one of their top Emerging Artists for 2012 and 2013). With the band's self-titled debut EP (featuring their single "Robot" just released Clementine & The Galaxy is poised to become one of the year's breakthrough artists.

Front-woman Julie Hardy is a professional singer who has performed live with Ellie Goulding on Saturday Night Live, St. Vincent on David Letterman, and in countless television commercials and films. She is also the voice of the College Humor's viral sensation "Look At This Instagram". A jazz vocalist by training, Hardy is a successful solo artist who has received rave reviews from the New York Times, Time Out New York, Downbeat and Jazz Times. In addition to her work as a performer, Hardy also teaches Vocal Jazz at New York City's prestigious The New School.

Clementine & The Galaxy owes its crisp and ethereal sound to producer/composer Mike MacAllister. His music has been featured in multiple ad campaigns including those for XBox, Nike, and Levis, and has scored multiple films including "Freakonomics: The Movie" and "The Spirit of Laxmi," which premiered Tribeca Film Festival.

Clementine and the Galaxy is represented by Songs Music Publishing (www.songspub.com).

From the first note you hear to the last note you hear. A great old fashioned high energy American Rock N Roll Show. The Visions are bringing their brand of Original American Roots Music to Central Illinois. You will love their music which mixes many styles and sounds from Blues and Rock that have influenced us throughout our lives. The Visions music will make you pause and ponder as they testify about the lives and loves of everyone through song!
What started as Singer/Songwriter Todd Hursh's studio project has morphed into The Visions. Todd who left home for Nashville at 18 played 15 years on the road returning to raise his son Zack in Heyworth IL. Now he leads The Visions with his skill and well-honed style. With Todd as lead singer/bass and Jon Boy Edwards on drums they are by far one of the best rhythm sections you will ever hear. Zack Hursh lead and rhythm guitar/mandolin/vocals plays with a stoic manner but his sure handed style and innovative technique make him sound anything but stoic. Kraig Koch on Keyboards/Vocals is always energized with a unique and classical style of playing keyboards filled with emotion.
With the release of their first CD "A Better View" They are ready to bring their show of all original music to a wider audience. While playing at many local venues over the last year and half they have made a commitment to just performing their own music. It's paid off very well. Having performed many times live on "Party on The Patio" on The Whip 98.3 FM In studio and live from Six Strings in Bloomington, opening for Bob Wayne and the Outlaw Carnies out of Nashville at The Outpost In Armington, IL, another opener at the Outpost for PeeWee Moore out of Austin Tx. in mid-June.
On a Thursday night in April The Visions had the honor of competing against 7 other very worthy bands at the first ever "Battle of The Bands" at The Castle Theatre in Bloomington, IL. With a 4 person panel of judges that included Chicago Farmer and Edward David Andersen The Visions were crowned "critics' choice" Kings of the Castle. Awarded the opportunity to open for a headline act at The Castle Theatre in the near future.
