Off The Cuff

‘Off The Cuff’ is a blues-rock trio featuring Joe Chinnici (guitar & vocal), James Pagano (bass & vocal) and Neil Nunziato (drums). All three members have strong ties to The Fab Faux. Joe has been the Faux’s front-of-House sound engineer for more than 12 years. James is the brother of Rich Pagano. And Neil has been musically involved with Rich in various ways for more than 20 years.

The name? Joe has observed, over the years, that when an audience really enjoys a show, the highlights are almost always when a band takes an unexpected turn into improv-land. The band members are all on their toes, full of adrenaline, hoping not to miss a beat while suddenly free to explore their instruments on stage. And the audience is suddenly part of the performance as they sit on the edge of their seats amazed by how good it sounds and feels when no one really knows where it’s going. So Joe approached James & Neil about a band whose mission statement would be to perform every song in this
manner. Both agreed, and hence the band with the name ‘Off The Cuff’ was born.

On this night, Friday, May 22nd, it will be our honor to have Jack Petruzzelli (The Fab Faux, Patti Smith, Joan Osborne) join us as our special guest, taking the opportunity to stretch out a bit and jam out on some blues.
