NYC Rock Camp 2017 Showcase

New York City Rock Camp and We Make Noise are incredibly excited to announce our 2017 camper showcase, which will be held for the second year in a row at Baby???s All Right!

NYC Rock Camp is a teaching artist-powered week of music, creativity, and making noise???a safe space of radical self-expression, collaboration, and performance, where young people are empowered to trust themselves, their voices, and each other.

The showcase on July 23rd is the culmination of a week of exploration for our campers. Over the course of five days, campers learn an instrument, form a band, write a song and then have the opportunity to perform it for you! The showcase features up to 20 camper only bands performing an original song live for the first time.

The showcase is not only an opportunity for our camper bands to show their skills, but a benefit to keep the camp servicing the students of New York City. All proceeds go to We Make Noise, helping us run our year-round music education programs at a sliding scale tuition. Because ALL young artists deserve a chance to Rock Out.

Along with the showcase is our yearly raffle, comprised of items ranging from tape and record packages from local record labels to a brand new electric guitar.
