Nikos Makropoulos

Nikos Makropoulos was born and raised in Thessaloniki. Child of folk origin, lived his childhood in Kato Touba Thessaloniki and specifically in the neighborhood of St.Fanourios. He remembers with nostalgia and emotion kid himself, playing with his friends happy and carefree.
His first musical stimuli gave his parents, who loved folk music and at home they used to listen to songs of Kazantzidis of Papaioannou and Tsaousakis. So from an early age he loved folk music and always loved to sing for friends and family. The dream to become a great singer does not even exist in his mind and imagined they could achieve something. His family people, however, always encouraged him to sing. At age 12 he began to learn guitar while in front of crowds sang for the first time in a celebration that was held at the school for the celebration of the University. He had been commissioned to sing a folk song and everyone admired for his talent.
When not singing in nightclubs, Nikos tries to distribute his free time properly and see as much as he can his loved ones and his city, Thessaloniki.
