Nickelback: Post-Grunge Rockers at PNC Bank Arts Center

Nickelback is known for inspiring intense love in some, while inspiring equally intense hate in others. Hipsters love to bash them, but it doesn't stop the crowds of superfans from flooding arenas to see Chad Kroeger and his bandmates rock the stage. Maybe it's the pop sensibility they slip into each hard-rocking sonic assault -- creating a sound that's both radio and fan-friendly -- that creates this love-hate relationship. Whatever it is, with more than 50 million records sold, Nickelback isn't sweating their haters. Nickelback blends rough vocals and distorted guitars with slick production values that sent singles like "How You Remind Me" and "Photograph" soaring up the charts. They're coming to PNC Bank Arts Center with opening band Lifehouse, best known for the 2001 hit single "Hanging by a Moment."
