About "New York City Bourbon Bash"

"New York City Bourbon Bash": A Day of Whiskey and Fun

In 1964, the U.S. Congress declared bourbon to be a "distinctive product of the United States." Along with apple pie, jazz and baseball, nothing is more American than bourbon. So it's time to do your patriotic duty and drink some! The "New York City Bourbon Bash" is a day of all-American whiskey and fun. You'll sample one-ounce servings of eight different bourbons -- neat, on the rocks or with a soda mixer -- at eight different venues downtown. The bourbons being poured include Basil Hayden's, Maker's Mark, Wild Turkey and Jim Beam. Along with enjoying the company of fellow imbibers, you'll also enjoy plenty of food and drink specials, all while benefitting a local charity. The participating venues are all within walking distance, and are set to include The Copper Still, Libation, Thunder Jackson's, Parkside Lounge and Nevada Smiths, with West 3rd Common as the kick-off point.
