New Jersey Ballet's "The Nutcracker" With New Jersey Symphony Orchestra

New Jersey Ballet brings the 45th anniversary of this holiday favorite to life with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, impressive special effects and a touch of holiday magic, all set to Tchaikovsky's timeless score. "The Nutcracker" tells the story of a young girl who receives a magical nutcracker doll one Christmas Eve, and sets out on a wondrous journey to the Land of the Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets. For more than 50 years, New Jersey Ballet has given many children their first introduction to ballet -- some with this much-beloved annual tradition, which always dazzles with its toy soldiers, dancing dolls, battling mice, waltzing flowers and the delightful Sugar Plum Fairy.
