New Jersey Ballet's "Sleeping Beauty": Family Favorite

Designed to appeal to both kids and adults, the New Jersey Ballet's sparkling version of this fairy tale favorite comes complete with colorful costumes and sets, graceful dancing, a sumptuous score by Tchaikovsky and even a narrator, who'll relate what's happening on stage so the younger set can keep up with the action. "Sleeping Beauty" tells the always engaging story of spellbound Princess Aurora, the handsome prince who wakes her with a kiss, and features a few magical fairies and some fun cameo appearances from other fairy tale characters, like Puss in Boots and Little Red Riding Hood. Morristown's Mayo Performing Arts Center hosts this production, which is recommended for everyone age 4 and older.
