About Nemes, Loving You, Those Mocking Birds, France Rose

Since forming around 2000 years ago, Nemes (pronounced knee•miss) has made their mark on the Boston and larger New England music scene by playing everywhere from subway stations to highly-revered rock venues. Led by duel-frontmen Dave Anthony and Josh Knowles, the band showcases a true metamorphosis of sound, featuring warm, layered harmonies and one-of-a-kind violin shredding Vanyaland describes as "fiddle-action glory." These components are delicately layered across captivating original songs to form what Under the Gun Review calls "some of the most engaging music we've heard," garnering shout-outs from national and international acts such as Alt-J and Nirvana.

Throughout 2015, Nemes will be performing to promote their debut studio full-length album, "I Carry Your Heart." Co-produced and mixed by Rick Kwan (Jim James, MMJ) and funded by a combination of busking, gigging, and crowd-funding, the 11-track record is an exploration of four minds working to create a resonant, cathartic listening experience.

It started as an obsession, that began a friendship, that formed a band, that turned into a love that has challenged their sanity and their hearts. Chris Lancaster is an electro-acoustic cellist. Alison Clancy is a dancer and singer. Loving You is a vehicle for their continuing story as songwriters, artists, creatures. Fighting for Love and Loving the Fight.
