Having released two EP's and a full-length album since their inception in 2009, New York City's only Defenders of Old Metal returns in August with a brand new 7" entitled The Invitation via Electric Assault Records. The two-song EP is a culmination of the band's experiences since 2012's LP, Head of Death (Earache Records), which saw the four-piece Weibust on lead vocals and lead rhythm guitar, Dino Destroyer on lead guitar, The Mexicutioner on lead bass and Tooth Log on lead drums and lead vocals touring the United States and Europe and performing festivals in Canada, Sweden and in their hometown of Brooklyn, NY at the Defenders of the Old festival, with bands like Exciter, Riot, Brocas Helm and The Rods. The band has come a long way in six years and The Invitation is a testament to its continuing development.
