My Favorite

Michael Grace Jr founded My Favorite as a teenager in the 1990s and spent a decade creating a cult indiepop band that would bewitch fans and peers alike, leading to performances alongside Belle & Sebastian, The Magnetic Fields, and others. Their sound was a kind of perpetual requiem to dire new wave and mope rock of the 80s, while the group's storytelling lyrics squatted in the uninhabitable spaces between past, present and future. In 2014, Grace reanimated the project with collaborators old and new to release the 'Second Empire' single on London's 'Where You Are Is Where It's At' label, and began a series of special performances combining humans, machines and ghosts.
