About Mr. Pauer

Mr. Pauer's Electropico: DJ Fuses Electronica, Cumbia and Afro-Beat

Modern electronic music meets South America's native sounds in Mr. Pauer's wild live shows, which take over Subrosa for this special New York City appearance. Mr. Pauer is Toto González, a Latin Grammy-nominated producer and re-mixer who was born in Venezuela and has been based in Miami for the last 20 years. Considered a pioneer of new Latin sounds, Mr. Pauer fuses electronica, new wave and house with South American genres like tropical, cumbia and afro-beat to create a new sound he's dubbed "Electropico." His upcoming album "Orange" features an impressive array of Miami vocalists delving into this new sound, and during his live performances, he frequently makes risky mash-ups and unrealistic mixes that flow with live video.
