About Moustad
In 2009 Tobias Sondén started the band Moustad together with Mariam Wallentin (Wildbirds & Peacedrums). In January 2010 Moustad became a trio with Tobias, Finn Loxbo (Kning Disk) and Petter Wästberg. Voices, cello and guitars found the base in a universe that sounds like a book by Gabriel Garcia Marquez or a film by Peter Greenaway. Categorized by their record company as experimental folk pop, references can be made to Grizzly Bear, Animal Collective and swedish folkfiddler Pers-Hans.
"Spring soundtrack of 2013" -Vice magazine
"Moustad swings from Animal Collective-round-a-campfire playfulness to a distinct, spiky-guitar style not at all dissimilar to something on a Chad VanGaalen record." -Portals
"One hell of a debut effort" -DIY
Tobias Sondén has composed music for film and theatre, played with Klabbes Bank (similar to Efterklang) for nine years. He is also an actor and has worked at numerous theatre in Sweden.
Finn Loxbo released his solodebut on Kning Disk in 2010, also plays with Strändernas Svall.
Petter Wästberg has his own soloproject Tipi and plays with experimental band Skogen.
