About Mothica / Glassio / The Undercover Dream Lovers
McKenzie Ellis, also known under her stage name Mothica, is an American indie-pop singer-songwriter currently based in Brooklyn, New York. Her budding career began when she uploaded her music on Soundcloud and saw a cult-like fanbase emerge.as she began to establish her voice on various collaborations with electronic producers including Tennyson, Beshken, Crywolf, and PUSHER. Her most notable collaboration with PUSHER went viral on Spotify with over 9M+ streams on the platform, but beyond the collaborations, she has built her reputation through her original works which have been featured by tastemakers like Majestic Casual and with positive reception from her fanbase. Her 'Heavy Heart' EP is slated to release on May 25th, 2017.
Glassio is an alt-pop duo made up of Sam Rad (Dubai/London) and Charles Pinel (Paris). They began their musical collaboration after a long weekend of dancing in the forests of Latitude Festival in the UK. With a love for fusing dreamy, lush vocals with 80's inspired Chicago house and UK-electronica, Glassio have proven to be at the forefront of electronic acts spawning out of New York City today. Their sound, described by XLR8R as "effervescent and colorful," found it's way to the top of the Spotify Viral Charts in 2016 and their EP Poptimism heralded as "an encyclopedia of Pop" by The Village Voice.
With a sharp taste for melody, and pop hooks, Glassio's sound brings together a perfect marriage of indie-pop and alt-electronica. They often collaborate and co-write with different artists, and their songs have been placed in shows such as MTV's Scream, CW's Arrow and MTV's Loosely Nicole. Latest releases have included "Make Me Feel," which reached the Top 10 on the Hype Machine charts, as well as an ethereal, electro-gospel rendition of "Search & Destroy," by Iggy & The Stooges. Their latest single, "Morning House" is a testament to their love for electro-hip/hop inspired beats and sounds, with the overarching catchiness of an Indie-pop smasher. "Morning House" went viral in both Brazil and Peru, as well as charting on Hype Machine's Top 50 charts for 6 consecutive weeks.
The Undercover Dream Lovers is the American indie psychedelic rock project started by songwriter and producer Matt Koenig. Koenig debuted the first Dream Lovers EP, While It???s In Style, early April 2016 at Brooklyn???s Baby???s All Right and hasn???t stopped since. Koenig has wrote and produced all of the songs for the Dream Lovers at his apartment in Brooklyn, NY. The biggest highlight for the Dream Lovers has been the rapid success of their latest single Good Luck, which went viral on Spotify shortly after its release in October 2016. The Dream Lovers have built critical acclaim within their local scene, starting off 2017 strong with their first sold out show at Rough Trade in Williamsburg and their first U.S. tour including SXSW as an official showcasing act. They look forward to releasing a full length album fall 2017.
