About Money, Hellbirds

MONEY are a UK indie rock band formed by an Irish taxi driver's son, an Air Force brat and a missionary kid from El Paso.
Bassist/lead singer Glass left home as a teenager to try his luck in London, where if he saw a chance to play his bass, he went for it. In 2014 he met a drummer named Chris Durant who duct taped his wrists to get more out of them, and a guitarist named Devon Pangle who refused to play second fiddle. The three of them started working out material on a trial basis.
In February 2015 Money released "Refugee," the first single from an album's worth of songs they wrote in a week and tracked in a day. Until they return to the UK this summer, Money will play every Tuesday night at All Star Lanes, a bowling alley in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Jasno, Abdon, Neko and Nick play guitar, drums, bass and saxophone. We play post-modernist rock and roll. Think Andy Warhol through the lens of Matisse's cutouts, but in sound. We have arranged The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's and Beach Boys Pet Sounds into a medley mashup album called Pet Peppers, which was released July 21st.
