Mavis Staples and Joan Osborne Team Up For "Solid Soul"

Grammy Award-winning vocal legend Mavis Staples ("I'll Take You There") teams up with multi-platinum recording artist Joan Osborne ("One of Us") for a rousing evening of blues and soul. They'll bring their unique pairing, "Solid Soul", to Morristown's Mayo Performing Arts Center. For six decades, Staples has been the solid rock of American music -- whether recording alongside her family group the Staple Singers, with iconic roots-rock act The Band, or with Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy. She's a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner who's made it onto the "100 Greatest" lists of everyone from VH1 to Rolling Stone. She'll show off her gospel, R&B and rock chops when she takes the stage with Osborne, a revered artist in her own right, who's performed alongside Bob Dylan, Luciano Pavarotti, Stevie Wonder, Emmylou Harris and more.
