Margo Valiante

When you talk about what influenced Margo Valiante and her music, you need a road map and some extra time. With a voice that can stop a train, she's most often compared to Patty Griffin, Susan Tedeschi and Bonnie Raitt with a thread of Country stitched through. Raised in a small town in Wyoming, music and singing was a constant presence which she brought with her from DC to upstate New York and Austin before finally settling in Brooklyn. Her EP ???I Can???t Pray??? helped Valiante notch Runner-Up accolades at both the Telluride Bluegrass Troubadour Competition and Rocky Mountain Folks Fest in 2010. Now, after a few years of the city under her belt, she???s uncovered a new tone and approach with a forthcoming EP, recorded at Transmitter Park Studios, co-produced by Abe Seiferth and Dave Burnett. Collaborating with great NYC musicians such as Jeff Hill and Jared Samuel, the outcome sends her in a new direction from her former recordings melding Country, Americana and Rock.
