About Makoor
Makoor's emergence in 2014 had an electrifying impact on the New York City music scene, beginning with the release of acclaimed debut album Sum to Mono, and followed by a string of successful performances throughout the metropolitan area.
Infusing modern rock timbres with complex textures and diverse rhythms, Makoor’s musical style draws influence from heavy hitters such as Muse, Foo Fighters and The Black Keys. The performance, whether live or recorded, is powerful and nuanced at the same time, and has been met with a wildly enthusiastic and growing fan base.
Since the album release, Makoor has taken it's high-energy electric alternative rock and more intimate acoustic performances to many of the finest live music establishments around. Currently hosting an ongoing residency at Bowery Electric in Manhattan, the 2015 calendar also includes Washington DC, Boston and LA shows.
Look for Makoor's sophomore release in late 2015!
