About Love Moon, Gondola, KDH

Love Moon is a psych-sludge band from Oakland, CA. Bred in the Midwest, Love Moon relocated from Indianapolis to The Bay Area in the Summer of 2014. Having established a national basement reputation with their previous band, Male Bondage, Love Moon (named after the now out of print Male Bondage LP) is poised to annihilate West Coast eardrums with superfluous amplification and celestial catchiness. With influences taken from vintage heaviness (The Melvins, Black Sabbath) mixed with more contemporary reflections (MBV, Torche) Love Moon creates a wall of noise that sounds oddly familiar but remains otherworldly. Tour-hards by nature, it is inevitable that Love Moon will eventually be hauling an excessive number of amps into your town, drinking most of the beers, and leaving a weird, foggy, but ringing memory in your ears and hearts.

yeah, it's dark over here. and hell, it's dark over there too... so how you gonna get to the other side? ain't no zipboat gonna get you across in one piece and it ain't gonna happen overnight. it takes keepers of the light; those who know the maps of the flow and how to set smooth when there's trouble ahead; trouble behind. lightning arms throw thunderous pummel, chops from rocky hands and an electric werewolf, goddamn! it's no straight shot through muddy waters it's heavy metal wires strung strong and tight through the turbulent night and you gotta sit tight and you gotta stay tough 'cause the going gets rougher when you get to the center of the hurricane; it takes nine eyes. there are but a few left who can make it and even fewer who can take it. three in the know, amulets a'glowing, who run this wizardship, and any trip could be your last but it ain't gonna be theirs.

KDH draws their name from a lesser known beach town on the Outer-Banks of North Carolina, just miles from where the Wright brothers got high for the first time. Their sound fits the description; southern-fried, surfed out, warm, and not too far from where Link Wray lived.
