About lespectacle 5.0

Known for their musical versatility and the primal energy of their live show, lespecial has earned prime slots on concerts and festivals in the US and abroad and gained attention for hosting their annual music & arts potluck festival, lespectacle. The three piece aggressive dance trio is characterized by their tight live sets ridden with raucous improv and sheer variety, a unyielding rhythmic backbone, dirty 4-string raunch thump, glitched samples and synth womp.

A project stemming from Boston based psychedelic IDM and dub producer, Supersillyus, Supersillyus Life Band is a supergroup of epic proportions, featuring members of lespecial, Wobblesauce, D.V.S*, and more. Having shared stages with Hallucinogen, Ott, Conspirator, Eoto, Phutureprimative, and Tipper as a producer, the Supersillyus Life Band is a relatively new development, seeing its debut as a headliner at Boston based arts festival, lespectacle in October 2012.

Horizon Wireless is a DJ (Harrison Waxenberg) and Drummer (Sol Montoya) duo from NYC that blends psychedelic break-beat music with a variety of other styles including trip-hop, minimal tech house, and electro/trance to create high energy dance sets. Seamlessly using elements from all across the sound spectrum, they weave together unique mixes for each show and create a storm of soul smashing beats, titillating harmonies, and wet melodies. This sonic tsunami can easily induce multiple crowdgasms, so bringing a towel to shows is not only recommended, but encouraged as well. Between winning the GRC Mixtape Competition; directly supporting acts like Hallucinogen, Conspirator, Brother's Past, Future Rock, BoomBox, DrFameus, and Zoogma; and rabidly building a grassroots following all around the Northeast, 2011 was a huge year for them. Be sure to catch them this year as they are showing no signs of slowing down.

Formed in Upstate New York at SUNY Oneonta, Teddy Midnight are four native New Yorkers headquartered in Brooklyn. Being bored with the jam and electronica scene upstate Teddy formed to bridge the gaps between EDM, Prog Rock, Jazz , Latin and Alternative. Teddy Midnight is about fusing the diverse influences each member brings to the table, while still being accessible with their own unique sound. Centering around interesting textures, dynamic and tempo changes, with a variety of time signatures. Although they are not a jam band Teddy Midnight is just likely to get you dancing to a deep drum and bass groove, as they are to make you feel like you are at a Sonic Youth show filled with shoe-gazers. They have opened for fellow Brooklynites Kitten Berry Crunch and Dopapod, as well as festival regulars Dirty Paris and Timbre Coup. They have just regrouped after a hiatus and are planning a series of shows in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and major cities in upstate new york.

Standing on a plateau in a world that feels familiar but looks and sounds very different, Ross Jenssen looks to the future with open eyes. -Underneath the space goggles, that is…

A journey may not always have a clear destination, but they all have to start somewhere. Ross Jenssen's journey began in the rolling hinterlands of planet earth in 2007, with a different name, face and voice. However, a knack for banging out face splitting baselines and drumbeats kept the journey moving forward whilst faces changed and past identities became distant memories.

Years later, all we know is that however the journey led Ross Jenssen to this point, it marks the arrival at the beginning of a new part of the saga. It won't get easier from his point. Music will have to be bigger, stronger, and heavier to withstand what is to come, and Ross Jenssen is wiling to see it through. Music that can transform and transport to new places with new faces, set a scene, and tell a story with all the highs and lows of a journey to a new place. Vivid, and always real.
