About "Ladies Who Laugh"

Female Comics Ready to Kill at Caroline's Comedy Club

With the growing number of female comics regularly breaking through the glass ceiling -- or brick walls -- of the stand-up comedy world, it wasn't hard to find a quartet of highly-skilled "Ladies Who Laugh" to headline this special show, which includes wine, light apps and soft drinks for attendees. Among those scheduled to perform are Aparna Nancherla ("Conan," Comedy Central, NPR), Phoebe Robinson ("Last Comic Standing, Girl Code, Broad City, Big Morning Buzz"), Brooke Van Poppelen (truTV's "Hack My Life", Comedy Central, Craig Ferguson) and "New York Times" op-ed editor and comic Rachel Dry. The world-famous Caroline's Comedy Club, where stand-up legends like Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno were once regulars, hosts this benefit for the New York Women in Communications Foundation.
