The Apollo Theater's kicking off the weeklong holiday celebration known as Kwanzaa with an evening of joyful dance and music, featuring the renowned and energetic New York-based dance company, Abdel Salaam's Forces of Nature Dance Theatre. Like the perfomers themselves, "Kwanza Celebration: Regeneration Night" is explosive, unpredictable, bursting with passion, daringly theatrical -- and also incredibly moving as it honors the principles of Kwanzaa: family, community and culture. Hosted by WBLS personality Imhotep Gary Byrd, everyone is welcome to this vibrant New York holiday tradition.
