About King of Truth Records Presents: Ocean Music & Ethan Woods Record Release Show, featuring Evelyn!

Ocean Music is a five-piece band hailing from both American Coasts. Born as the solo songwriting project of New York-based multidisciplinary artist and healer Richard Aufrichtig, Ocean Music has since evolved into into a raucous live band that delivers a blustering maelstrom which has been described by music critics as “an explosive update on Replacements-Pixies-Van Morrison" and "full of cathedreal beauty."

The intimate songs of Ocean Music’s first two records—self-titled (2014) and Songs From the City (2016)—have come to occupy a more expansive musical universe composed of pulsating rhythms, crashing waves of guitars, and warbling synthesizers that manage to turn the acoustic elegies of a lone troubadour into full-throated rhapsody.

Evelyn is a five-piece band making hearts-on-their-sleeves indie rock out of Brooklyn, NY. The band is: Dani Lencioni (guitar/vocals), Drew Broussard (lead guitar), Jordan Kisner (vocals), Brian Paul (drums), and Zachary Joy Smith (bass). Evelyn’s debut EP, Light Full, was released in March 2017. The band is in the studio working on their next release, out in 2018.

Ethan Woods is a singer-songwriter, electronic experimentalist, and composer for modern dance. As a performer, he places vocal and electronic experimentation into a folk song context, with results ranging from humorous stomps to plaintive reflections. His last recorded work, the Town The People EP, was released in June of 2017 with his band Rokenri. On January 28th 2018, Ethan will be releasing a limited edition 10" EP titled Mossing Around and Other Songs as a part of the King Of Truth Records showcase at C'Mon Everybody in Brooklyn, NY. This EP will have a run of 30 records, and will only be released physically. In February 2018, Ethan will be moving from Brooklyn, NY to Asheville, NC where he will be joining composer and vocalist Trevor Wilson on a new as-of-yet unnamed project, pursuing work as an arborist, and begin studying acoustic ecology. As such, the performance at C'Mon Everybody will also serve as a goodbye show to New York City, and will feature an intimate set of songs developed over his time as a resident of Brooklyn. Ethan is currently working on a full-length album titled BURNOUT, to be released in 2018.
