Karl Lyden CD Release

Karl Lyden is a low-brass musician in New York City. He performs with big bands, various horn sections, and in the pit orchestras of several Broadway musicals. Lyden is equally active as a composer and arranger. His first big band chart won a Downbeat magazine award for Best Orchestrated Work. Lyden just released his debut album Undercurrents that includes all originals for an 8-piece band. The album title "Undercurrents" refers to the idea of a hidden force in opposition to the norm. Much of the music is contrapuntal with clashing lines that are somehow inextricably linked. Undercurrents releases on iTunes, Amazon, and Bandcamp on April 14th, 2015.
