About Jonathan Evans, Ambler
“Ambler has this incredible knack to convey authentic human emotion without having to sacrifice the craftsmanship of songwriting. The heart is on the sleeve, but the hooks are out of this world.” –Joel Funk, 36vultures.net
Since forming in Fall of 2014, the New York based alternative band Ambler has grown a tremendous amount. In Winter of 2015, they played a self-booked East Coast tour, thanks to their friends in nearby D.I.Y. circles. Shortly after, Ambler released their debut self-produced album Orenda Circle, leading to the opportunity to open up for From Indian Lakes at the Knitting Factory, playing to a packed 300-capacity room.
Ambler is in the studio recording their sophomore LP.
Ambler’s trajectory is inspiring but not surprising. Their talent for blending unforgettable hooks with heartfelt felt lyricism has clearly struck a chord, and they’re only just getting started.
