About Jon Podell Consciousness is the new Rock 'N' Roll
One of the most legendary behind-the-scenes figures in rock ???n??? roll history, Jonny Podell forever transformed the way we listen to music. Among the numerous Hall of Fame artists he has represented are the Allman Brothers Band, Alice Cooper, George Harrison, John Lennon, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, Van Halen, Blondie, Lou Reed, and many more. In addition he was responsible for helping create the early 2000???s pop explosion with his agency, Evolution Talent, representing Brittney Spears, N???Sync, and Backstreet Boys. In addition to having been Head of Music for William Morris Agency, and then Worldwide Head of Music for International Creative Management, he has also built a string of successful companies, including the most recent, Podell Talent Agency.
In 2007 with his long time client and friend Cyndi Lauper, they launched True Colors, to bring attention to, and help pass legislation on behalf of GLBT equality. True Colors is now the ???go to??? site for homeless youth. While his career exploded, his drug addiction did as well. Over the course of three decades, he has experienced many rehabs and relapses.
Podell finally got sober for good in 2012. What began with a simple meditation grew into a full-on spiritual awakening. After completing the program, he embarked on a personal journey searching for a way to best serve the world, and bring a message of Light. In 2015, he received the Visionary of the Year Award from Silver Hill Hospital where he received treatment for his addiction. Podell currently owns a consciousness-based agency representing cutting edge thinkers and leaders in spirituality. He is an avid practitioner of Transcendental Meditation, and is actively engaged and supports the David Lynch Foundation, particularly with their work in addiction. In addition he has extensively studied the practice of Kabbalah and constantly utilizes this practice to further his spiritual growth. His expertise lies not only in recovery, but the spiritual quest that comes after.
