John The Gun

John the Gun is a rock trio from Nutley, NJ. Their music is melodic, lyrical, driving, and while truly unique, has clear influences of bands such as Brand New, Circa Survive, and Coheed and Cambria. In November of 2013 the band entered Treehouse Studios in Jersey City and recorded two brand new tracks entitled “Lunar” and “Navigator.” A year later, in October, John The Gun released a new track, “Unilateral” as part of a music compilation to raise awareness for breast cancer. In the last few months the trio has truly found an identity as a group and the energy is apparent in the music they write, in their live performances, and in their rapport. JTG’s mission has just begun, and with a style all their own, are a force to watch out for.
