About Jimi Tents
Early 2015, Brooklyn introduced Jimi Tents, a new 19-year old East New
York native rapper. Influenced by artists such as Kanye West, 50 Cent, Pink
Floyd, and Lauryn Hill, Jimi has created a style of music that is eclectic and
nothing like the sounds currently coming out of the NYC rap community.
After graduating high school, Tents made the decision to full-on attack
his craft and strictly focus on developing music as an aspiring artist. He
knew that this would be a dream that he’d have to chase, but Jimi tirelessly
proved that this is a chase he is willing to commit to. Separating
Tents from other up & comers is his dedication, drive, and motivation to
create life-changing, impactful music that pushes to positively motivate
his peers to go out and accomplish whatever they tackle.
In Jimi’s debut single “Elmer Fudd” (featuring L.A. based singer Moxie), he touches upon various topics surrounding youth controversies. He really takes that extra mile in making his music and message cohesive. Since the release of “Elmer Fudd,” Jimi’s notoriety has
skyrocketed. HotNewHipHop deemed Jimi the “new artist to keep tabs on” while Billboard recognizes his confidence and dedication to the culture and craft.
