Jazz at Lincoln Center With Wynton Marsalis & Bronx-Born Bassist Carlos Henriquez

Famed trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra travel into the heart of the Bronx for a special performance centered around its veteran bassist Carlos Henriquez. A Bronx native, Henriquez honed his fleet fingers as a teenager, performing with the likes of Tito Puente and other greats at the area's famed jazz hangout spot People's Park. Now a world-class composer, educator and arranger, Henriquez' original music will be front and center at Lehman Center for the Performing Arts, in a unique concert showing off the full breadth of his technical and stylistic dexterity.
