After imbuing herself with the heart, soul and passion of her adopted home of New York, the Ohio born, and Ann Arbor bred musical wonder kind is ready to step to the forefront with an incredible band “the Damn Thang,” to introduce the world to her unique sound and style which she has dubbed “Neckbreakinhipsoufunk.”

Register is a true master of all trades—a multi-instrumentalist, song writer, producer, and DJ. "Janis Joplin meets Jimi Hendrix meets Funkadelic meets Erykah Badu meets Jim Morrison.” –The Detroit Metro Times.

Her androgynous on-stage presence and soulful voice are often compared to Lauren Hill or Janis Joplin or so many other great artists and performers, but let's be real, Jamie Register is one of a kind, a fact that you’ll grasp whether you experience her on stage fronting a band, playing guitar or piano, or as a DJ, spinning from a musical collection that defies categorization. It is from this diversity of influences and tastes that Jamie has culled and refined to create the unique, captivating and high energy experience which is Jamie Register and the damn thang, a musical power house that must be seen and heard to be believed. Jamie and her band will be performing in and around the North east this fall and winter, supporting a series of singles out over the next several months.
