About Jacob Snider

For Jacob Snider, years behind a piano have generated countless melodies, words to travel through them, and a voice to carry both.
While attending Columbia University, Snider capitalized on living in one of the most culturally rich cities in North America, regularly performing at New York's Rockwood Music Hall, Postcrypt, and Joe's Pub. As he built his base, word of his shows spread, not only in NYC, but to tastemakers abroad. The influential Helen Leicht from NPR Philly affiliate WXPN began playing his music, adding him to their live shows, and even dubbed him Best New Artist. Out West, KCRW's Chris Douridas had him perform at School Night, one of LA's most coveted evenings for new artists. Opportunities manifested: Snider shared stages with Matisyahu, Bobby Long, Parachute, Shawn Colvin, and The Civil Wars, performed at the Billboard/BMI Brunch at SXSW, was BMI's Pick of the Month for April 2013, among others.
For the past months, Snider has been making a record with producer Tony Berg( Blake Mills, Lucius, Aimee Mann, Phantom Planet) in Los Angeles, CA. These new songs will be making their Philadelphia debut.
