About It’s Friday, I’m (Not) In Love: An Anti-Valentine’s Party

Un-cuff yourself from the chains of love this Valentine’s season and leave the expensive brunches and Airbnb staycations to the lovebirds. You don’t have to be in love to partake in our V-Day celebration of all who fly solo.

There are only two rules to party:
1. Be single.
2. Dress in black. All black.

Yearning to show off that new shirt with a colored accent? Not here. This is New York Freakin’ City. So buck up, don those dark threads and get ready to party like you know we all die alone.

All through the night, we’ll have the suitably-named DJ Gordon Gloom (Feeling Gloomy, YDH2S) spinning the 80’s & 90’s doom, gloom + boom you're not hearing at the clubs. There’s nothing like a little Depeche Mode for embracing your depressed mode, or The Cure to medicate your cabin fever.

But we know you can't party without putting that last relationship behind you, so we'll have a shredder so you can say goodbye to those tear-stained love notes for good, and a soundproof Scream Box where you can vent your lovelorn frustrations. With $5-8 drink specials you can actually afford — since you’re not paying for someone else anymore — and cheap admission ($5 in advance and $8 at the door), you’ll end up spending way less than you would on flowers, and chocolates, and other B.S. that people who are overly dependent on each other in a relationship do. By the end of the night, you’ll forget all about 'the one who got away.' And that other one. And that one Tinder date.

Trust us, it’s for the best.

So join us on February 12th at littlefield. We’ll be going until 3am, but come early to scope out the prospects. Yeah, you heard us: even though this party is for singles’ rage, we don't want you going home alone. We’re keeping plenty of dark corners around the party, where you can scurry away with your future ex. Because who knows? One night of fun could last until Valentine’s Day, after all.
