House of Time: Handel & Rameau's Music for the Stage

Now in its third impressive season, House of Time has made a solid home for itself in Manhattan by building an inventive repertoire of 17th- through 20th-century music, performed on period instruments. Their latest concert, "Imaginary Theater", spotlights new transcriptions of stage music by composing greats Handel and Rameau at the Lounge at Hudson View Gardens. The five-member House of Time ensemble features faculty and graduates of Juilliard, along with international competition winners, and includes violinist Tatiana Daubek, oboist Gonzalo X. Ruiz, cellist Paul Dwyer, violist Beiliang Zhu and harpsichordist Avi Stein.
