New Production of Provocative Love Story Returns to Stage Left: "Home in Her Heart"

Margaret Morrison's provocative love story, "Home in Her Heart", returns to New York City's Stage Left starring Morrison and once again directed by Cheryl King, but this time with a new production, script and award-winning co-star Ava Jenkins. Set in London in 1939, "Home in Her Heart" explores the loving bond between lesbian couple Jimmie and Claire, a white male impersonator and a black pianist, as they prepare to return to the U.S. Though they've lived and performed together as a nightclub act for several years, the looming war and the racial and homophobic hatred they'll undoubtedly face at home threatens to derail their relationship.
