Dance to the Music: The Family Stone Headlines "Hippiefest 2015"

Forty-six years ago, the ultimate psychedelic concert, love fest and hippie gathering took place, with Sly and the Family Stone performing legendary hits like "Dance to the Music," "Everyday People" and "I Want to Take You Higher." The band, known today as The Family Stone, brings its infectious brand of high-energy funk to NYCB Theatre at Westbury for "Hippiefest 2015", along with Rick Derringer, famous for "Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo" and "All American Boy." With Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheelers delivering classics "Devil With a Blue Dress On" and "Sock it to Me," and Badfinger cranking out "Baby Blue," "Day after Day" and "Without You," this three-and-a-half-hour concert extravaganza highlights the best of the memorable hippie era.
