Sherman has collaborated with producers who have worked with Aerosmith and Lou Reed. He and John "JoJo" Herman, widely known for his role in the band Widespread Panic were previously in a group called Missing Cats. JoJo, George Recile (Keith Richards, Bob Dylan), Anthony Krizan (Spin Doctors) and Tom Marshall (Phish) recorded on Sherman's 2011 album, Single Room Saloon.?
