About Guest Event: Hotsy Totsy Burlesque Tribute to STAR WARS (episode 2 - return of life day)

It’s not a trap! All new script! All new cast! A different show – The Return of Life Day!

It’s the holiday season and time once again at The Home For Wayward Girls and Fallen Women for the annual viewing of Cherry’s favorite TV show: The Star Wars Holiday Special! Sadly, when Cherry Pitz forced everyone to ‘enjoy’ a night of Star Wars themed burlesque acts and clips from the actual 1978 fiasco on December 10th, everything just seemed to go wrong. The Betamax tape mysteriously jammed and the back up files failed to download. Little did Cherry realize that Handsome Brad and Joe the Shark were trying to save the audience from having to endure Cherry’s favorite holiday special. But much like the Sith, Life Day is back! Cherry is determined to make others enjoy one of her favorite childhood memories on which George Lucas has reportedly said: "If I had the time and a sledgehammer, I would track down every copy of that show and smash it." Cherry is so proud to own a copy!

Featuring all new acts, a brand new script and a different cast than the December 10th show, The Star Wars Holiday Special, Episode Two: Return of Life Day will be hosted by Cherry Pitz and Handsome Brad with performances by Brief Sweat, Clara Coquette, Gogo Incognito, Ivory Fox, Jenny C Quoi, Le Grand Chaton and Minnie d'Moocha-Burlesque/Cosplaywith gogo entertainment by Erika Rodgers.

If you have not seen The Star Wars Holiday Special, then you have not seen special guest star Bea Arthur sing and dance with the space alien bar patrons from the Tatooine Cantina, (here is a clip- HYPERLINK "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzXKySxPFCI" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzXKySxPFCI). The Star Wars Holiday Special was quite possibly the worst holiday special ever conceived. It is literally Star Wars meets The Carol Burnett Show and it stars the cast of the original Star Wars trilogy Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher & Harrison Ford (they were under contract and couldn’t get out of it) and was written by the staff writers of The Carol Burnett show, featuring special guest stars Harvey Korman, Bea Arthur, Art Carney, The Jefferson Starship and a cast of fur suited character actors as Chewbacca’s family. It is chock full of WTF moments, such as Carrie Fisher singing and even includes Wookie-porn. We promise to show you the best (we mean the worst) bits.

Cherry Pitz and Joe the Shark proudly present Hotsy Totsy Burlesque, New York's only episodic, monthly burlesque show. Featuring a different script each month and a rotating cast, Hotsy Totsy is a high camp soap opera featuring some of the best burlesque talent New York has to offer.

Every month you are invited to The Home For Wayward Girls and Fallen Women. The residents of the home need money to keep their hotel open and to buy G-strings and glitter. Sadly, the shows have had their technical difficulties and in the past they have had to combat zombies, gangsters, human-animal hybrids, intergalactic space travelers, televangelists, snake oil salesmen and Sarah Palin. The ladies promise you beautiful, clothing-averse women, lots of laughs, spinning tassels, and flying underpants. So join us for Hotsy Totsy Burlesque at The Home For Wayward Girls and Fallen Women where the motto is "We've fallen, we can't get up, and we like it that way!
