"Grapefruit": One Woman's Humorous and Touching Cancer Story

Actress Cheryl King, artistic and managing director of Stage Left Studio, stars in this one-woman play by musician and writer Sally Lambert, who had planned to appear in the show herself before succumbing to cancer in 2010. "Grapefruit", which refers to the size of her tumor, takes you on a wryly funny and thought-provoking hourlong journey through the odyssey and ironies of America's current health-care system, the many personal emotional battles that are fought by those with cancer and the measure of relief that Lambert ultimately found in alternative therapies.
