About Goldskull Gathering: Pre-party show for the Ritual of the Moon experience
Chasing Carmen is comprised of four talented musicians from across the Northeast. They have recently released their sophomore record: "Perfect Kind of Misery," which was produced by Mike Watts (Story of the Year, Adelita's Way, Theory of a Deadman) and Steve Haigler (The Pixies, Muse, Brand New) at Vudu Studios. The summer of 2012 was spent touring the Northeast, building lifelong fans and promoting their debut release. Lookout for Chasing Carmen in 2013 and beyond as they follow up their new release with many high profile shows/appearances lined up across the region.
Chasing Carmen has had the honor of opening for such acts as Alice in Chains, Jane's Addiction, Puddle of Mudd, Hinder, Saving Abel (multiple times), Coheed and Cambria, Sevendust, Circa Survive, Taproot, Rev Theory, My Darkest Days, Lacuna Coil, Hurt, Charm City Devils, Walking Papers, Coal Chamber, Allele, Stereoside, The Dead Daisies, Stolen Babies, Fall From Grace, Royal Bliss and more. They have played in front of sold-out crowds at The Comcast Theater, The Webster Theater, Toad's Place, The Studio at Webster Hall, The Bitter End, Foxwoods Casino, The Regina A. Quick Center and several other venues, and have received rave reviews across the board.
Tempest City is a true NYC Rock Band. Playing rock with no prefixes, and delivering on the promise of their namesake...look it up.
The band is anchored by the thunderous (dinosaur) Bass guitar of international man of mystery Diego, and the rock solid heavy groove and heavier foot of drummer Ilan Harel.
Their twin guitar attack comes compliments of Vincent Degretzia and Walt Ramin. Combining swirling rhythms, powerful riffs and soaring harmony leads, these two players complement each other while ripping it up with their own unique style.
Lastly, keeping this ship headed in the right direction and absolutely steam rolling it on lead vocals is Alfredo Venuto. A true "rockstar" frontman with the range to back it up and a presence that instantly captures your full attention.
These guys are quickly gaining a reputation as an absolute "must see" band in the city, so get out and catch them while you can!
When one thinks of the South Bronx, one does not think modern rock, melodic rock anthems, heavy guitars, double bass drum or guitar solos for that matter. However, the SoBro streets of the Bronx gave birth to just that.
Brand of Julez formed in 2010, when brothers Julez and Brandon Zamora began playing together, then writing together and finally taking their sounds to the local bars at the ripe old age of 16 and 13. Pushing for a sound that was a mixture of the music they grew up listening to like Nirvana, Alice In Chains and Guns N' Roses, with sounds of more current bands like Seether, Alter Bridge and Asking Alexandria, the music they call SoBro Rock began and has taken flight.
Their debut EP was released in September 2012 with an electrifying set at Highline Ballroom, which led to performances at legendary New York City venues like The Studio at Webster Hall, The Marlin Room at Webster Hall, The Gramercy Theatre and Irving Plaza. Their brand of rock has brought them to share the stage with recording artist like Burn Halo, Orianthi and the legendary Alice Cooper, as well as rising New York City giants like Killcode, Black Water Rising and Charetta.
With the recent addition of Jeremy Frank on drums, whose maniacal stage presence and double bass domination, have ignited a new era for the band and Brand of Julez are ready to deliver their heavy brand of rock that will have you banging your head, with your horns raised and leave you with songs that you'll be singing long after the show has ended.
Stay tuned....these SoBro Rockers are just getting started.
