Garage Land Seven Band Showcase finale with Tall Juan, SAVANTS

Tall Juan, born Juan Cruz Zaballa in Buenos Aires, is an Argentine musician, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist .

In New York City, He began writing songs for his solo project, soon to be recorded.

In 2013,Tall Juan Zaballa was called by Juan Wauters to join his solo band.


Savants are a Brooklyn based band formed in early 2013, their music has been described as proto-rock with elements of modern day psych and garage influence. The band began experimenting with analog recording techniques which resulted in their first EP release entitled "7" featuring eight songs made on a Yamaha 4-track cassette machine.

After a relentless series of shows within Brooklyn as well as the Lower East Side of New York City U.S.A.
Savants played alongside west coast surf rockers Allah-Las at Music Hall of Williamsburg in November 2014.

Highlights in early 2015 include a well received Daytrotter session and an upcoming feature in the April/May issue of Nylon Magazine highlighting the band's debut LP release due out this Spring.
