Future Type, Viva La Hop

Future Type is a new 7pc dance act featuring members of the Brooklyn bands Kidding on the Square and Durians, led by up and coming producer Miles Felix. Hot out of the gates from their jam packed debut at Williamsburg's monthly Highly dance party, Future Type mixes retro and futurist funk sounds with hip hop, jazz and electro influences. With a full length album in the final stages of mixing, look out for the band playing live at a venue near you!


We are a live Hip-Hop movement with roots from Funk & Jazz. From the horns, to the keys, to the strings, to the kick drum we come to get yo heads bobbin and booties movin, bringing an organic element back to hip-hop music. Poetry in motion.
